Level Red restrictions limit seating to same household members outside only. We’ve got a tent outside of Casita Azul (our patio on the west side of Stanley) and we’re working on getting more heat, también!

Here are some important details and updates:

• The updated schedule below reflects the closing time of 8:00PM every evening, per new COVID restrictions:
  Mon - Thur: noon - 8:00PM and Fri - Sun: 11:00AM - 8:00PM

• Walk-up patrons placing orders in our taproom must be masked and distanced 6 feet apart.

• Only sit in our outdoor patio with people from your household. We’re adding heaters; please bring blankets and warm layers for the cool weather.

• You can buy beer to-go or do curbside pickup at Stanley! Place your online order here – this order link is also on our home page. Delivery is available within a 5 mile radius of Cheluna (with min. order).

Cheluna begins our fifth year of operation this month, but in lieu of our anniversary pachanga, we will be releasing a new beer every week this month!

Eric has been super busy brewing and preparing for these new menu additions. While we will miss our normal annual celebration with tamales and live music, we will look forward to resuming that tradition for our 2021 five year anniversary!

We’re cajoling this Friday the 13th into a kinder occasion by kicking off our frontline worker Fridays today!

Seven Fridays remain in 2020, and January 1 2021 also falls on a Friday ~ we’re saying adios to 2020 poco a poco every Friday by celebrating all the good and hard working gente who continue to keep us fed, healthy, and (half) sane.

How? Well, every Friday through the end of 2020 all frontline workers will enjoy half price pints from open to close at Cheluna. Not a frontline worker but want to buy a pint for one? Purchase a pint token at the bar and give it to your very own frontline friend, or ask one of our badass beer tenders to gift it to a frontline worker on your behalf.

We’ll be setting up a board to acknowledge those who choose to pay it forward, and we are gearing up for a much kinder and gentler year as we creep closer to 2021 💕

Many thanks, amigos, for your continued support of our cervezería chiquitita, and we look forward to seeing and serving you muy pronto! Together we will get through this year with our heads up and strong hearts 💞

Please note that our weekend closing hours have changed a bit due to the COVID enacted curfew ~ front door closes now at 9 pm every night of the week, and last call on Fridays and Saturdays is now 9:15 pm, so guests can be home by 10. ¡Gracias!

We’re adding additional picnic tables outside of Casita Azul, along with a larger tent and propane heaters out there. We intend to stay open outside as much as possible throughout the cooler fall and winter months. Feel free to bundle up and bring your own blankets to stay toasty out there with us, and you can also bring your lawn chairs to set up farther out!

Stanley is also moving into November with a marketplace-wide Día de Los Muertos event this year! Stay tuned to our social media channels for more information about this, and all other events and news, como siempre. We’ll begin constructing our own altar in October, as always.

Our delicious Logan House coffee Kölsch is almost gone, and we’re looking forward to a mid-October release of our newest beer, a German style Altbier, which we will be splitting into a regular version and a graham cracker version ~ YUM! Read more about Altbier here.

Starting Thursday, Oct. 1, more than 1,000 breweries, taprooms, and brewpubs around the country – including Cheluna! – will be offering exclusive deals to anyone with a Great American Beer Festival brewery passport (available here for just $20). Treat yourself while supporting small and independent breweries! 

And join the MCA and Cheluna Brewing Company’s brewer, Eric Nichols, for a virtual beer tasting! This event will be held via zoom on Friday, October 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm. The zoom link will be sent to all participants the day before the event. Find more info and sign up here!

Cheluna is super grateful to Stanley Marketplace for sponsoring Roka Hueka, Denver’s Latin SKA band, for a socially distanced outdoor concert starting at 7:00PM on October 10th! Masks must be worn at all times unless seated!

Look for the release of our seasonal Märzen Oktoberfest beer mid-month. We’ve got .5 liter steins to celebrate, and we’re also now selling warm Bavarian style pretzels, también! The pretzels are made locally by Léon, owner of XLVII’s Bakery, and come in three varieties: regular, jalapeño, and bacon cheddar. ¡Salud!

We were going to make this our first Friday of September new beer release, but we couldn’t wait the extra week! We’re in love with our new alebrije inspired labels, which we introduced last month, including this beauty. 

The August Vail Craft Beer Classic was a modified beer festival, complete with masks and social distancing, and also ash and smoke from the fires that were less than 50 miles from our location. Despite the circumstances, we were delighted to participate and our beer was very well received.

In October we’ll participate in the 2020 GABF virtual beer festival; read more about that here, and stay tuned to our social media channels for more information about our participation in that event.

Toward the end of October we’ll also be participating in the formerly named Stapleton Beer Festival, and Eric Nichols, our brewer, will be hosting a virtual tasting from our brewhouse for that event. 

Our taproom has reopened at 50% capacity, along with our outdoor area on the West Stanley patio en Casita Azul, where we have four of our deliciously clean and cold chelas on tap, in addition to the usual 18-20 on tap inside the taproom. 

Thank you for your continued support, which is allowing us to remain open and operational! Here are Cheluna’s current hours, which we will update/expand as we are able:

Friday, July 3rd, we’re releasing two new beers: our delicious Cali IPA, and Cheluna Coffee Kölsch, brewed with Logan House Thundersnow  blend, with coffee beans sourced from Brazil, Ethiopia, and Guatemala. Look for more details about these beers on our social media outlets.

We donated a total of over $1,000, thanks to your support last weekend! Equal Justice Initiative and PFLAG Denver were recipients of these funds that you helped generate, and we feel great about supporting them both! Many thanks to all of you for turning out, and to our amigo Nico Martinez, who also donated a portion of his pay.

Stanley Marketplace and Cheluna are now open, with some restrictions and guidelines. For now we are grateful to be able to open our doors to invite you in, poco a poco, and expanding our hours of operation. Here’s our current schedule, but please check our Facebook page for updates in the coming weeks:

Our indoor taproom is open the following times: 

• Tuesdays - Thursdays: 12:00 - 8:00PM

• Fridays and Saturdays: 11:00AM - 9:00PM

• Sundays: 11:00AM - 8:00PM

Casita Azul (our new outdoor seating area on the west side of Stanley) is open the following times:

• All the same times as our indoor taproom

• Plus Mondays from 12:00 - 6:00PM

When Casita Azul is open, we encourage you to social distance and enjoy your chela outside. We’ve currently got four of our delicious beers on tap outside: Low Rider, Lupita, Chupa Guava, and Guadalupe, for your enjoyment. Of course, you can always order any of our other 16 beers or hard seltzer in a to go cup to enjoy outside also.

On Mondays, the Stanley Marketplace is closed for cleaning, but we’ll be open for curbside pick up and delivery on Mondays from 12:00 - 6:00PM. For those who prefer to continue placing their orders online, curbside pickup will also be available any time during our taproom and Casita Azul hours. Orders may be placed online or called in (720)600-0020.

We look forward to eventually resuming the many community events that we once perhaps took for granted, like Saturday Zumba, Monday trivia, Tuesday run group and our thrice weekly live music.

Many thanks to our friends at Odell for the delicious collaboration beer: Fresarita Strawberry Margarita Blonde Ale. The 10 cases we had flew out of the taproom, and while we were super bummed that Collaboration Fest 2020 was cancelled, we enjoyed the opportunity to brew with Brent at the Odell RiNo location. Look for Odell’s newest Sloan Lake taproom to open around December 2020.

Our other collaboration beer was made with Chicago based 5 Rabbit Cervezería: Piña Colada Milkshake Double IPA is delicious, and is still on tap; get some while we have it! It’s also available in 22 oz. glass bombers. Collaboration Fest is one of our favorite events, and we’re looking forward to 2021 Collaboration Fest already!

We’re stoked about our two new summery beer releases; they’re delicious and refreshing warm weather chelas! Look for new label art this month, also, which we’ll debut on our social media channels. We have 18 beers on tap, including our very popular and delicious Clarita hard seltzer, which is available with pomegranate juice, tambíen!
